Who’s that Officer? Part 2!

Hey all!

It's that time again when we play "Who's That Officer!?" In preparation for the release of "Loyalty or Liberty!?"

Let's introduce our clue of the day:

This Major General in the Continental Army, later a congressman from Massachusetts, was described by John Adams as “universally esteemed, beloved and confided in by his army and his country.” Prior to the American War of Independence, he served in the French and Indian War in the 3rd Regiment of the Massachusetts Militia, before resigning alongside many of his men as revolutionary sentiments grew. He was best known for being the commander in chief of the Massachusetts militia and helped direct the siege of Boston from his sickbed before later recovering and helping prepare for the battle at Bunker Hill.
